I went there in 2012-2016! When I graduated, I left SciTech feeling like I had the skills necessary to do anything and everything I set my mind to. I have not heard good things about the new administration, but it is the STUDENTS that make it great, so as long as there is constant activity from the students, it does not matter if the administration tries to destroy traditions and student-led initiatives.

My school and this district have given me opportunities that I would've never had anywhere else. The faculty and staff are amazing and make sure to help many of the students with whatever we need. As a student body we are very listened to and have to chance to give the administration honest feedback and suggestions. The student body is also amazing. Everyone is kind and supportive of each other. We have cultivated a culture of respect and safety is always respected. I absolutely love my school, and can say that fully honestly. If you ever want to stop by feel free to speak to out counseling department and our student ambassadors. We provide tours led by actual students!
The school truly focuses on its STEM classes. There is a brand new Innovation Lab with equipment that rivals university labs and the teachers have experience in their fields and enjoy their job. Students are encouraged to work in the lab, but it requires some self initiative to become comfortable with working with the equipment.

Humanities courses are often pushed aside, filled with teachers who don't care or give pointless assignments.

Scitech is filled with many smart students, but the culture of procrastination unfortunately diminishes it. Students will often push things until the last minute and manage to get away with it, further encouraging it. There is also an upward trend of cheating among students. Many student work hard but their work (like high GPAs) is discredited by cheating.

By attending, you will find many opportunities for AP testing, exceptional labs, and a diverse and intellectual student body. Overall experience depends on your mentality, friends, and teachers.
