From The Schilling School for Gifted Children

Our students are gifted, with IQs above 130. This places our student population in the top 2% of the general population based on intellect. This homogeneous setting provides our students with like-gifted peers who share a way of looking at life, a wonderfully unique sense of humor, an ability to grasp material quickly without the need for repetition ad nauseum, and a heightened sensitivity to the world around them.

Our faculty are gifted themselves, providing our students with adults who can relate to them on many different levels, and they understand the unique abilities which set this population apart from the general population.

Our schedule uniquely allows our students to move at their own pace, employing multi-age ability grouping, individualization, differentiation, radical acceleration, and grade skipping.

Our 9 foreign language offerings include the following: Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Russian, Spanish, and Sign Language, beginning in Kindergarten.

My son moved to Schilling for high school from a rigorous private school where he never felt understood despite his high IQ. Now, he is a different child. He loves school again and thrives under the exceptionally qualified and caring teachers and staff. They go above and beyond the call of duty to challenge my son in his areas of strength and to help him overcome his areas of weakness. At Schilling, he is completing college level courses easily and loving every minute of it! His ninth grade Biology book was the exact same one my older son used in college, so I know he will not only be prepared for college but will excel there. The school administration deals fairly and efficiently with any problems that arise in a way that teaches the kids to solve or avoid future issues. The personal attention that is given to both the students and parents is extraordinary. We are so glad we moved to Schilling and recommend it highly!

I loved the community of the school. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and really embraces everything about you. From the teachers to the students, everything is already in place, there to help each student succeed. The Schilling School offers a wide range of classes as well, reaching a surprising amount of fields with so few staff. The school does best what it was designed to tackle: education for gifted children. Teaching K-12, every single class is advanced to provide an immersive and engaging environment. At the same time, every teacher is looking out for the needs of their students, and would not hesitate to help out anyone in need.
My teenager started High School here this year. After looking at many schools we decided to try this small school in the Blue Ash area. I have been very happy with the courses and teachers. Each teacher really invests their time in the students. The other students are extremely welcoming and friendly, so my teen didn't feel left out or excluded in any way. They are able to adjust the classes to meet the students interests. The school teaches the students critical thinking skills and they do projects for the community. They offer everything from fencing, chess and drama to top AP courses.
