The small size allows every child to feel valued. Advanced children are given the ability to work at their own pace and not forced to confirm to what the group is ready to learn. Open ended projects allow creative kids to stay engaged and enthusiastic about learning. The children are more individual in nature so there is no pressure to conform in general and very little to no teasing/bullying. Sadly, the visual arts program is sorely lacking. Math, Science and Humanities (History/English) are all great. Behavior management is also an issue but the latest administration has cleaned that up a lot and I feel it is an issue that is becoming a thing of the past.

Sage offers advanced ciricumlum for gifted students who are in need of this. They allow the students more flexibility to be creative and keeps their joy for learning alive. It is too small to offer athletics so the students pursue these interests in their own community. This allowed our children to stay connected to our community and to choose from a wider list of pursuits than a school would typically offer. They have an amazing theatre/dance director and a fantastic Model UN program. Sage students bring home lots of awards from Model UN as well as doing fantastic on math competitions. The science program is well loved by my children. The teachers are super approachable and completely open to working with you to best help your child succeed. We have loved this school. The parents are a little more introverted and way more real than at other private schools. The parent organization is less popular but every parent I’ve meet is kind, real and interesting to talk to.
Mu husband and I are very happy about our experiences with the Pre-K, K, and 1st grade curriculum and staff at the Sage School. Both of our daughters are blossoming into kind, well-rounded, confident young ladies. The environment is challenging, yet nurturing and we are very pleased with the after school activities which range from soccer to math club. Our girls are excited to go to school every morning and we excited to share what they did and learned at school at the end of the day.
