Sage is an amazing environment for curious children that learn at a faster pace. They recognize that each student is unique, especially how they learn, and offer go-at-your-own-pace studies especially in math and reading. Also, each child is truly valued for their contributions, encouraging stimulating dialogue and advancing knowledge. This type of environment leads to self-confidence supporting their emotional growth. The small teacher-to-student ratio, dedicated and creative teachers, and varied curriculum encourage curiosity in young children. A flexible schedule helps fit a wide variety of classes into the school week. Regrettably, we recently moved out of Massachusetts and had a very difficult time finding another school that resembled Sage. Locating one that had a similar progressive style of what education should be was difficult to find, but we knew how great an elementary school could be and what to look for because of Sage.

We moved my son from public school to Sage in Eighth grade. I really wish we moved him couple of years before.
The small class sizes, intense curriculum and excellent teachers - all these have helped my son find a home in the school. My son does well academically but needs support with skills like Organization, focus and time management. In Sage he has started focusing well in class and this has helped him immensely with his self confidence. I highly recommend Sage for kids who are curious and love to learn deep.
The small size allows every child to feel valued. Advanced children are given the ability to work at their own pace and not forced to confirm to what the group is ready to learn. Open ended projects allow creative kids to stay engaged and enthusiastic about learning. The children are more individual in nature so there is no pressure to conform in general and very little to no teasing/bullying. Sadly, the visual arts program is sorely lacking. Math, Science and Humanities (History/English) are all great. Behavior management is also an issue but the latest administration has cleaned that up a lot and I feel it is an issue that is becoming a thing of the past.
