The Rivers School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school currently for students in grades 6 through 12. Rivers challenges students to attain their highest levels of excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. We set high standards and expect students to participate actively in their learning. We cultivate a caring, respectful, and collaborative environment that encourages student performance.     Rivers is often underestimated. People compare it to schools like Nobles and think rivers isn’t as hard. That is very false. Nobles and similar schools are just ahead in their rankings because they tend to take people with more money so better colleges want to accept them (it has nothing to do with better academics). As a rivers student, I am far smarter and have way more homework than all of my friends at nobles. Rivers is a great school in which the teachers are always willing to meet with you. When looking at other local private schools, rivers may not have the highest ranking online, but it definitely is of the same value!

    I've been a long time member of this community and as a person of color, I have only found my experience at the school to be most rewarding. I actually cannot wait for my daughter to apply to the middle school. If she is lucky enough, she will be joining a highly committed and vibrant faculty with other children who are passionate and excited about learning!
    At Rivers for the past 5 years, I have felt challenged at many levels. It’s a difficult academic environment, but one that has taught me more about myself, my values, and what is important to me. At Rivers, I have discovered a lot of talents and interests that I didn’t know that I had before coming here. I'm so glad I went to this school!
