Rivers has felt like home for the last 6 years. The community is unmatched and so special. The entire faculty actively makes an effort to create bonds with each and every student, and the students all respect and get along with one another. At Rivers I have developed not only as a student but also as a person. I was motivated to take risks and get involved in ways I never previously imagined. I was encouraged to take rigorous AP classes, compete on three varsity sports teams, sign up for multiple high level art studio courses, tutor middle schoolers, give tours to prospective families...the list goes on. Everyone at Rivers LOVES to be there and take advantage of every opportunity the school provides them. Class sizes are small which allows ample one-one-one time with the teacher, and confused students never hide in the classroom. Even the smartest kids meet with their teachers during free blocks. The food, athletics, conservatory, teachers, and facilities are all amazing. It's home.

I had a near perfect experience. Campus was beautiful, teachers were amazing, food was terrific. The students rivers attracts are thoughtful, funny, well intentioned people, making for a welcoming community. The staff is incredibly supportive and forms real bonds with students. The conservatory program is a highlight—I doubt any other local high school has such a diverse and in depth range of music courses. My only drawbacks are the lack of a full theater and a track on campus. Onstage productions have to use the black box theater or rent out Regis college’s theater and the track team practices off campus which isn’t ideal but still works fine.
Rivers is a special place. The community is so welcoming to people holding all types of interests and ideas. The campus is beautiful and well maintained. At lunch every day the kitchen staff work hard to provide several different food options for students. At Rivers, I have grown as a scholar, athlete, and person. The small school atmosphere allows for students to receive individual attention from teachers and meet with them often. Students are encouraged to take many high level AP classes, compete on varsity sports teams, and perform in many different arts. Rivers students are engaged and look to take advantage of the opportunities they have been given. I can't say enough about how much Rivers means to me. Rivers is home.
