The Red Oaks School Reviews
Rating 5 out of 5 5 reviews
The Red Oaks Middle School follows the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. ROS strives to support every student’s growth and development with the 10 IB Learner Profiles - Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Inquirer, Balanced, Open-Minded, Communicators, Principled, Caring, Reflective, and Risk Taker. Through my four years as a middle schooler, I learned the importance of taking responsibility for my own development and charting the necessary steps to continue to grow. To me, the most important of the 10 Learner Profiles is caring. As I continue my high school journey, I hope to continue to exhibit this IB Learner profile.
I am the parent of two bi-cultural children currently enrolled in the Elementary program at Red Oaks School. They are exposed to a supportive and enriching environment that challenges them, yet allows them room to flourish at their own pace. The curriculum includes language arts (Teachers College Reading and Writing Project), math (Singapore), science/STEAM program, social studies, history, Spanish, gym, music, and art. The parents are very involved and have formed a strong Parent Association. The teachers and school administration have been very attentive to student needs, COVID protocols, and clear communication. I am happy and proud to be a parent of Red Oaks, and cannot think of a better place to educate a child.
Both my children have attended the school since first grade. The school is a very caring community that treats each individual with respect. The academic program promotes curiosity and teaches each child to self-advocate. My children are very prepared for high school and the IB program really sets them up for success!
