Before selecting Quarry Lane (QLS), we reviewed all the East Bay Private Schools and even some SF Privates and we chose QLS instead. Now that our two sons have graduated and are attending excellent colleges (UC Berkeley Regents' and Chancellor's Scholar), we are so happy for our decision to choose QLS. Reasons: (1) Excellent Teachers who are Passionate About their Students, (2) Excellent Administration who are constantly Innovating / Improving the Academic Program, (3) Student's Benefit Tremendously from Easy Access to Leadership Opportunities, Clubs and Special Programs, (4) Strong Track Record of Students Gaining Admission into the Highest-quality Universities available anywhere, and (5) Multiple Strong Options Available to right-fit any Student into a Program for Success including: IB Diploma, Engineering, AP / Advanced Curriculum and More. Overall, we give The Quarry Lane School the highest possible recommendation for helping our two sons go from Good to Great!

I have two children at Quarry Lane and am very happy with our experience! The academic program is challenging but not overly so. They make a point to let you know that they teach at a level above public schools, so knew what we were getting into and I think my children have benefited from the challenge. I love the attention they get from their small classes - for me, that's the best part.. We've been very lucky and have had terrific teachers in our experience. Thank you!
All in all, really good. The teachers have a great way of helping you get through the toughest assignments. Though there's a lot of ESL students who, no offense to them kind of slow the class down (it's not their fault, and it's quite interesting learning about other cultures from them.) The students are really nice (most of the time) and if you're new, it's really easy to make friends, and they'll invite you to their table to make you feel more welcome (problem solved). Tight security with security guards out the entire school day. It's kind of sad they built it on a hill, especially when your backpack's full of stuff, but it's not that bad, as it's a pretty small campus. If you're planning to go to Quarry Lane and you're reading this: DON'T BUY THEIR SCHOOL LUNCHES!!! They're pretty bad and taste really bland.
