The Piney Woods School is a great school for upcoming high schoolers!!! I am currently a uprising senior at the Piney Woods School and every thing is Amazing. I like the dorms a lot, they are set up just like it would be at college. So when you go to college you already know what to expect from the dorms and dorms parents and the other students there. One thing I do not like about the school is the lack of communication the staff and faculty have sometimes, but overall it’s great!!!
Something I like about The Piney Woods School is that it helps you meet people from everywhere. I have met so many people from different states and out of the country. Being at Piney Woods has helped me develop my social skills. Another thing I really like about Piney Woods , is that they do try to help you get into colleges. They have some colleges come up to the school and talk to the students about applying to colleges. Something I would like to see change at Piney Woods is the communication between the parents and the communityl. I feel that if the school communicated better to the parents and the community, the school would be a better place.
My son was bright , energetic, and full of promise. Unfortunately, in elementary school, his dad and i were divorced. This bright child had to struggle to survive enduring poverty and hardship. My son entered Piney Woods his sophmore year in high school. I THANK GOD for this school.. The administration and teachers were compassionate, patient, as well as firm. The farm experience helped to build a strong character which he still talks about. They knew how to bring out the best in my son who: graduated college; is now very successful in his carreer ; a compassionate leader, husband and father; one who gives back to his community in service and also works with kids who are struggling in life. He has made lifelong friends at Piney Woods. I can't thank you enough. I thank God.
