The Piarist School creates an tuition-free environment where students can become college ready. They are accepted for who they are but are also pushed to learn as much as they can. The school has it’s downfalls also, the work can be very hard but there are tutors available to all students for free.

The Piarist school is a shining light within the foggy and dark that surrounds my rural region. They offer a no tuition education that is far superior to any surrounding schools. The Priest in charge of the school, Father Tom, spends every weekend going on road trips asking churches and businesses from all around the nation for donations. It is a smaller school, so the teachers really get involved with the lives of their students. They care about the grades they are making and develop personal relationships with them. The teachers are also the best at what they do, this shows when we look at how the ACT Average at Piarist is 6 points higher than the state average, and how there is a 100% acceptance into college rate. The student body is so small that everyone knows each other. Anytime you walk down the hallway you will receive, at the very least, ten high fives from passing students. The sports teams may not be the best, but we always make sure to have fun and do our best.
The Piarist School is a small, tuition-free college preparatory school in Eastern Kentucky and serves students from several counties: Floyd, Knott, Pike, Johnson, Lawrence, and Magoffin. The Piarist School also believes that education should not be relegated to the classroom and each student should acquire a holistic education the students participate with Community Partners and each student is to complete 10 community service hours per semester with local organizations. The school also has an Outreach Program to aid the poor. From clothing, food, school supplies and Christmas gifts. They also host a number of volunteer groups who come to eastern Kentucky to help repair houses, build wheelchair ramps and other home projects as needed..
