We have been very happy at Pennington. I cannot say enough about the faculty; they truly go above and beyond for their students. Academics are rigorous and environment is very warm and accepting; it is a school community not just a place where students go to learn.
One of my children graduated last year and attends a highly selective university now. She was very well prepared for the challenging classes she is currently taking in college. My other child is still at the school and loves it! They have very different personalities but were both able to find their path at Pennington.

Reading the reviews of Pennington School on Niche leads the intelligent consumer to conclude that members of the graduating Class of 2016 were asked to write a positive review. Niche reviews should come from the heart, and not as part of a high school assignment to polish and burnish the image of one's school. Indeed, any school where all reviews extolling it's virtues were written over a scant 2-3 year period, is highly suspect. Because, no school is perfect. Every school has flaws. And when every review is this positive, one wonders what lurks beneath the surface? The academics at Pennington are good, not great. The school's faculty is no more/less dedicated than those at other private schools in the area. And, Pennington is among the least diverse private schools in the area. Plus, if you're a good soccer player, you're 100% treated better than other students, and that demonstrates a clear reality of favoritism, which shouldn't exist in any school.
My son started at Pennington from this year and it’s very warm school with great support everywhere. Especially, for term break, school assigned each boarder to host family, so whenever needed, we(as parent) can discuss with host family if my son can stay with them, rather than getting back home. I haven’t seen many boarding schools having this kind of system, though. Many teachers are always around and actually many of them live on campus. Whenever needed, my son can reach them.
