Founded in 1912, The Park School of Baltimore is an independent, gender-inclusive, non-sectarian, progressive Pre-K through 12 school located on a 100-acre campus minutes from the city.

Park cultivates children’s innate curiosity by nurturing their interests and engaging them as active participants in their own education. We support young people in becoming confident questioners and responsible citizens of the world.

Park graduates pursue further academic achievement, develop professional pursuits, and are prepared to continue the process of choosing for themselves from the wide range of possibilities life offers.

Our “Experience Park” Open House event features faculty as ‘thought leaders’ and allows prospective families to experience Park teachers at work. Faculty representatives from each grade level and divisions/departments engage with parents and students, explaining teaching materials, student work, and Progressive pedagogy. Following the Open House, visitors are invited to pack a picnic and join our school-wide community event, “Saturday in the Park” festivities for games, arts and crafts, and fun.

I went to Park from kindergarten through 12th grade, and am currently a rising sophomore in college. I've been reflecting a lot on how my first year went and what areas I felt prepared in. Without a doubt, Park prepared me to write. I found all of my writing assignments in college to come with ease — whether they were English papers or post labs for biology. One of the main ideologies that Park taught me was *how* to go about solving problems, even if you don't have the entire foundation beforehand. There were definitely some subjects I struggled with during my first semester (generally in my STEM courses), but my research and critical thinking skills developed at Park have helped me to be successful in those classes. In terms of social life and teachers — Park is definitely small, but I didn't find that to be an issue. I loved knowing everyone around me and forming genuine relationships with most of my peers and teachers. Teachers at Park really do want every student to succeed.

Review The Park School of Baltimore

I attended Park School for 13 years (Kindergarten-12th Grade) and I couldn’t have wished for a better experience. I received a phenomenal education which prepared me well for college and taught me core values of advocating for myself, thinking outside the box, challenging my mind and more! The teachers want nothing more than for their students to succeed which is made possible by their incredible teaching as well as other recourses Park offers such as tutoring, counseling, and more! I honestly have nothing bad to say about Park School and after 13 years, I believe that speaks for itself. The school mainly has a hands on learning style but teachers frequently ask their students how they thrive (and what learning style works best for them). Personally, I believe it’s the incredible staff and students excited to learn which makes Park so special but we also have a incredible campus. I wish everyone had the opportunity to attend this pre K- 12 institution.

I am a current student at the park school of baltimore. I have been here for 9 years, this school is worth nothing unless you have personal connections to the administration/faculty. Park picks and chooses. An example of this is letting people who have personal connections to administration vape, bully and more.Not only that but, my middle-lower experience was awful and they would FORCE you to be friends with your bully no matter what. I was severely bullied all throughout middleschool which caused my mental health to decline and resulted me in the hospital. What did park do? Force me to make amends and continue to go to school in person. I am currently enrolled as going to this school is a privilege I will not be taking advantage of coming from a low income household. Not to mention the lack of diversity. I have so much more to say but on a positive note the teachers are amazing and engaging. Teachers here genuinely want their student to succeed.
