The Orme School Reviews
Rating 4.1 out of 5 87 reviews
My discomfort of attending a new school was quickly alleviated by the closely knitted community involved with everything. Not only did I learn so much in my High School curriculum, but also grew a passion for a variety of subjects. Orme offered me hands-on experiences with gardening, horseback riding, metalwork, and an opportunity to learn important everyday living skills. The best way to learn is to experience instead of solely studying book material. Not only does Orme do this right, they exceeded my expectations through my experiences! The entire time I spent there my privacy was respected more than other schools I had toured, and I felt comfortable in my dorm with my roommate. Comfort allowed me to fully embrace the unique opportunities this school has to offer and learn from them with a big smile on my face every day!
As a former director of college counseling and dorm parent, Orme gets my hearty 5 stars! The community provides students the highest respect and a truly unique experience that gives them an authentic edge in the highly selective college admission world. If you are thinking of working at Orme, you'll find the best school president of your career and true life-long friends among your fellow employees. Students had movie screenings under the stars, an unbelievable rec center with vintage pinball, skeeball and arcade games, pizza parties, and dances, and enjoy community fireplaces and all KINDS of scenery. Sun, a little snow and some rain here and there. It's a wonderful place to work and a wonderful place for students to study and grow!
I absolutely loved going to the orme school! I have a passion for horses and it only helped me learn and grow! The class sizes are perfect for students like me with learning issues! They also offer a variety of outdoor experiences that I never would have been able to do outside of this school! The weekend trips were always my favorite, from waterparks to the Grand Canyon you will do it all! If you have never experienced the “Orme Games” that alone is worth it! So many fond memories and amazing people! I love the little slice of heaven that all alum call home! Can’t wait to continue going back to visit throughout my lifetime!
