Coming from Mexico, the schools I went to never really looked like O'Farrell. Of course, private schools would look a lot nicer than public schools but nonetheless O'Farrell showed me that regardless of public or private I'm worth a good "first impression". These teachers care, nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I've met people, created bonds/relationships that I thought I would never be able to. I've learned things. Not just school things like English or Math but life lessons that O’Farrell helped guide me to. Growing up I've come to understand O’Farrells' reasoning for things so no, I wouldn't change anything about it.

I've attended this school since the 6th grade and had a unique experience. Overall this school is very exceptional and it gives many students an opportunity to become who they want in a poor neighborhood. I hope this diversity and opportunity stays for these minorities and it will continue to help those that are in need. However, I do wish they better prepare students for AP classes and make opportunity more enticing toward more students. Their after school program allows students to have the freedom to do any creative activities with their friends for free, and their resources are there for those who need tutoring. However, their lunch is absolutely horrible. There will be an occasionally exciting day where the food is mediocre.
My experience at the O'farrell Charter School is going very well. The teachers are great and the high school is decently small so you are able to get a one-to-one connection with the teachers. Academically, I wouldn't necessarily want to see anything change because they excel at that however, they are quite strict with the uniforms which is one thing many students complain about but it's not that big of a deal. One great thing too is that this school is starting to get more sports, just recently they created a football team and soon I believe they will have softball.
