The Nueva School Reviews
Rating 4.55 out of 5 67 reviews
I love it here! I have never been more supported at school. There's tutorials, teachers are always flexible to meet anytime. You can email, sign up on calendly, or find them anytime at their desk. There is also WRC writing tutoring support as well as student peer tutors in all kinds of subjects. It's really just a safe environment where you feel comfortable talking to anyone of all ages, whether it's the college counselor, admissions officers, or cracking jokes with the head of school. And I'm excited that trips this year are out of state again!
The Nueva School offers near-boundless opportunities to its students. During my time at the school, I watched fellow classmates and friends become national champions in physics, debate, and more while at the same time having a blast. I got to travel to Argentina, meet accomplished professors and speakers, beta test new technologies and pedagogies, and receive ample support (financial and otherwise) to pursue athletic, club, and individual projects. Nueva's teacher are deeply committed to student academic success in addition to the wellbeing of their students. As a student, I got to meet with faculty qualified to teach at the university level but truly passionate about working with young adults both inside and outside of the classroom. The administration continues to takes steps to become more organized and supportive of the amazing faculty.
Nueva is an amazing school! There are so many opportunities all just waiting for anyone who is motivated. There is a 230+ page course catalog and a wide range of extracurriculars to take your passions to the next level. The students are kind and cool (everyone's smart but not everyone's a nerd). There are fun social events like dances, coffeehouses, musical performances, sports games, spirit rallies, and more! Nueva provides excellent STEM education (humanities as well), and the teachers are genuinely interested in you and want you to succeed.
