Teachers aren’t patient. Maybe one or two decent teachers. They don’t help kids the way they should. They give homework to teach us. They have us make corrections so we get good grades. Even when we don‘t understand the work. Worst part is they aren’t honest.
I feel this school is nothing more than a glorified BOCES program. They prefer to give children calculators rather than teach the missing material. If you’d like to ensure your child is successful in college and career, look elsewhere. I know for my child, they haven’t helped advance academically at all. Was told they’d be able to and didn’t do so.
Over all I have had a very good time overall at this school over the years the teachers and staff are all great and love what they do and the atmosphere is safe envorment for students to learn and prosper.
The Norman Howard School focuses on kids with learning disabilities and teaches them at the level they need to be. It has helped me get better grades and be a better student because they will give you time to finish your work and if you need help they are always there.
