I really like the teachers, the curriculum, parent involvement. I love a lot of things about The Nokesville School. It is very decent size. I love that the middle schoolers are able to help the elementary schoolers as much as we can. I have been here sense I was in kindergarten and now I am in eighth grade. I have one more year then I go off to Brentsville District high school. Middle schoolers sometimes go into second, first, or kindergarten classrooms and help them out in whatever ways we can. For the first few weeks of school we help kindergarten and first graders get to there busses. I really love the fact that The Nokesville School is a k-8 school so we can easily go over to the elementary part and help them.
The don't let us on our phones at lunch even though OTHER SCHOOLS IN THE SAME COUNTY CAN. and you can't go to other tables to talk to your other friends, even before Covid. You also can't use your school laptop during lunch. Also you can get in to detention for not doing your home work but you can't do your homework in detention.
The entire 6th grade now has assigned seats for the entire 2nd quarter because like 10% of kids couldn't behave, and still no phones in the cafeteria. Also still no lockers and they are thinking of stupid hooks. LIKE NO ONE WANTS HOOKS THIS ISN'T 2ND GRADE. ALL THE OTHER SCHOOLS IN PWC HAVE LOCKERS. This is pretty sad for being in the 7th richest county in the entirety of the United States.
Also you are forced to take music. They might as well force you take take an all year class all the way up to 12th grade about how to repair a chair. Probably 1 or just maybe 2 students in each grade are going to have a music job let alone something to do with chorus.
