Nightingale inspires girls to go beyond barriers.
At Nightingale, students become joyful learners who have the intellectual depth and the courage to be critical thinkers, compassionate citizens, and agents of their own lives; advancing equity for the betterment of all.
To achieve this mission and vision, we will educate girls’ minds and hearts by infusing their lives with meaningful relationships; teaching them to value difference as a source of strength and means of growth; and empowering them to question the status quo with confidence, empathy, resilience, and reason.
From Lower School, where students learn to think independently, to the self-discovery of Middle School, to the in-depth liberal arts curriculum with an emphasis on global citizenship in the Upper School, we seek to educate both mind and heart.

The Nightingale-Bamford School was the BEST decision!
Our daughter started Kindergarten two years ago during the middle of the pandemic and we felt SO blessed and grateful for the BEST decision. Nightingale's leadership, core values and strong community helped demonstrate some of the key strengths of the school. Our daughter loves her school, teachers and friends, loves to
read and learn and demonstrates tremendous pride which is the greatest gift. We can understand why she loves going to school since the teachers are so committed and joyful. We also appreciate as parents the rich and thoughtful curriculum and how the teachers across the Lower School, Middle School and Upper School take the time to share their curriculum, their thinking, their collaboration across the faculty community with the entire parent community throughout the year. Our daughter loves science, "doing research", music, reading...all thanks to Nightingale!

I am not only an alumna, but also a current parent at Nightingale. As a student, I absolutely loved my experience at Nightingale, but now being a parent, I am also so impressed with the quality of the teachers and staff and am always amazed with how deeply they care for furthering the education and the well-being of all Nightingale students. As strong as the academics are, it is (and always has been) a very warm and caring environment. I have loved the parent community and have found the whole Nightingale community to be a wonderful place for my girls to learn and to grow-up. Nightingale is a wonderful and impressive school!
The Nightingale-Bamford School is an inclusive, friendly, and welcoming community. The teachers and administrators are extremely dedicated and go above and beyond to meet the needs of their students and families. There is a sense of joy and a love of learning that is felt throughout the building. The students are challenged, encouraged to take risks, and form meaningful relationships in a safe and supportive environment. Our daughter is thriving and we cannot imagine her anywhere else!
