I have only taken classes online from this school. With that in mind, there are some options listed on this survey that I have not experienced yet. By default, I rated those options at average. Excluding that however, I have been able to really note the diversity that this school offers. The curriculum that is offered is presented in a very organized manner. Resources at the school also seem endless. There are many different ways to receive assistance for your academic life whether it may be the Student Success Center, your dedicated academic coach, an outlined program evaluation of what you need to complete, etc. While I was not able to experience or witness clubs or activities, they list a whole bunch of clubs with descriptions on what they are about. The teachers as well, are termendous at their job and I have a great deal of gratitude towards them. They really do a wonderful job by treating you as a human and are very understanding.
This May, I am graduating from Guilford Technical Community College with my Associate in Arts degree. Throughout my time at GTCC, I have met a great group of professors that truly care about the students and their success in school. From day one, I have felt welcomed and safe. The Jamestown campus is spacious, yet small enough to walk from class to class. I have had challenging classes, but the teachers and tutors were always readily available to help in any way possible. The campus is diverse with students from within the area and those who have come from outside the community. There are many clubs to encourage a number of interests held by the students. In all, the education and social aspects of the school make it a well-rounded perfect place for any student seeking to further their education.
My experience at the Early/Middle College at GTCC-Jamestown has been very rewarding. The chance to earn an Associate’s degree while completing my high school requirements was something I never thought was possible or something I could even do. Yet, here I am so close. I owe it to the amazing staff and teachers who always supported me and my fellow classmates. The smaller setting that this school provides makes it feel like a family and family is always there to support you, and I feel like they have.
