Honestly, there is a lot of improvement needed in most of the extracurricular activities, but everyone is extremely passionate and makes the best of it. Because of the size of my school, there are a lot of spacial issues and it requires a lot of patience and adaptation. Luckily, everyone is great at that. This is especially true in the performing arts department, such as A Cappella, musical, and plays because most of the time it requires practicing in gyms, cafeterias, halls, or sometimes just any empty room. It takes serious dedication and passion for each activity to just stay afloat, but most of the time it thrives!

As an alum of Miami Valley who lives close enough to visit every year or so, I can say this school is delivering the same first-rate education that I received. Teachers are extremely invested in the well-being of their students and the school as a whole is doing a great job of combating the stress culture that plagues so many top educational institutions. The typical MVS student is creative, inquisitive, and a little quirky, and often is involved in multifarious activities. Since I graduated, the performing arts programs have exploded, and the art shows are not to be missed. Upgrades to the entryway, theater, and early childhood center have really been amazing. This was the best school I could have hoped for as a child, and I'm glad so many more young people get to enjoy the MVS experience.
I have been at this school my entire life and it has been the best part of my life. Sometimes it is more of a home to me than my actual one. There is no place like it because the environment of the school is unbelievable until you become apart of it! Everyone is incredibly passionate, empathetic, intelligent, and outgoing in one sense or another. It really is like a giant family, even if I rarely talk to half the students or freshman there is still mutual respect. Even though the Immersion program is only once a year for one month, the reality is that everyday is a different immersion. No class, nor interaction, or experience is ever the same as the last and I am almost never bored.
