The Met is about culture and community. Anyone can be who they are and no one will judge. Teachers speak to us with respect and engage in intelligent conversations. Rules are relaxed, but still in place. Internships are awesome! People could use a little more help with then, but they are such a good resource.

The Met is an excellent school with great opportunities! Students participate in internships twice weekly in place of elective credits. Students and teachers are on a first name basis, and the teachers really work with the students to make sure they're on track. Overall, an amazing school that provides students with the foundations to be successful in college and the working world.
My experience with The Met is good, it's a small charter school and it offered me plenty of opportunities. For example, my summer of freshman year I got the chance to go to a summer program that's called Adventure Risk Challange a senior project of a student. I got to hike for the first time and explore the beauty of nature. In addition, I was part of an amazing group that helped and supported me academically. Another opportunity I got is the Internships. I've Interned several places such as a k-8th school, a CrossFit gym and I'm currently interning at this office which we help patients with any injuries and we share the office with chiropractic doctors. Also, The Met offers to their students' college courses at Sacramento City College and I've taken several classes since my freshman year of high school. If it wasn't for The Met I wouldn't have the opportunities if I was in a public school.
