The Met is such an incredible school and is grossly looked over. The opportunities I was given and relationships I developed would not have happened anywhere else. I attended two very traditional high schools before coming to The Met and I can genuinely say I will remember my experience here for a lifetime. If you are looking into attending The Met - it takes a very responsible and mature student to be successful here considering most work we do is real-world. You get what you put into it - they give you the power to decide what you want to pick up (college classes, internships, clubs, etc). It is not a traditional high school experience by any means.
The advisory culture is what has made my experience so special here. It was hard for me to lean into it at first, but everyone really comes to appreciate it. It's a little school family!

The Met concentrates on the responsibility of the student and putting them in real world situations. We, as students, learn to balance schoolwork, our health & wellness, and our real world work load. Opportunities like taking college courses and having internships are presented to us which is great for exploration! Overall, The Met is a great experience to not only get you college ready, but world ready.
The Met is a great school for people who want to be involved in their community. From my two years experience at The Met I have had opportunities that I'd never had if I went to any other public high school. From professional internships, community service, cultural events, and projects, any student who attends is prepared for the real world after high school. The small student body also allows for personal and professional relationships within the student and faculty.
