McGillis is brimming with possibilities, and community is at the heart of everything we do. We inspire and prepare our community for a lifetime of creating a better world. We believe choosing the best school for your child also means finding the best partnership for your family.
The McGillis School is open to all children and is founded on Jewish values, culture, and history. Our students in kindergarten through eighth grade have the opportunity to thrive academically while learning the importance of productive group dynamics and social responsibility. Central to our core mission is providing learning experiences that empower children to become engaged and enthusiastic learners.
McGillis is built on the premise that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging matter. We believe a diverse, inclusive community is essential to not only a rich educational experience, but is also fundamental to helping every person in our community reach their full potential.

The McGillis School Reviews
When you enter the hallways of McGillis, you know it is different. There is a celebration of each child as a unique individual, and an investment in each child to be their very best selves. Just as importantly, there is a prioritization of the community (the kehilah), which teaches our children to think beyond themselves. As we have pivoted to COVID, the “value” of McGillis has never been clearer. Our children have benefited greatly from in-person education, and we felt incredibly confident with the safety measures and the transparent communication during this time. We are new to The McGillis School, but we already consider ourselves “Forever Magpies”!
We feel especially fortunate to have been part of McGillis school during the pandemic. It was a radically different (and much more positive) experience for us than it has for some of our friends who have children attending other schools. And just another example of how well McGillis handles the situations that come their way.
Can't recommend enough!
