In my four years at The MacDuffie School, I've had an enjoyable and unique experience. Starting off with the academics, I would say that it is quite remarkable; however, the school lacks when it comes to a diversity of classes provided. In terms of teachers, there are a handful of remarkable teachers: Mr. Taravella, Ms. O'Brien, Mrs. Valentine are just some of them. Their organization, willingness to help students through all different resources ,and their genuine care for students are qualities that are hard to find in teachers. In terms of clubs and activities, MacDuffie's students have great initiative, so a robust variety of extracurriculars are available. MacDuffie's school culture largely is based on diversity, all students from all different countries intermingle and create a unique atmosphere. In terms of resources, both academically and facilities wise, MacDuffie needs to turn their focus on this.

The overall atmosphere of the school is really nice. I was welcomed by my RAs upon my arrival at the school. MacDuffie is a quite diverse school with students from all over the world and everyone is treated equally. There are many leadership opportunities here for the students and quite a lot of extra-curriculum activities to choose from. The teachers here are all very nice and always willing to help. However, it is quite difficult to get a really high GPA here. The boarding life here is also nice and comfortable, and I really enjoyed my life being a boarder here.
I loved how I was challenged in most of my classes. Coming from a public school, I definitely saw a change in the teaching style. I was also able to meet fantastic people from around the world that I never would have met at a public school. The only issue with MacDuffie is the administration. The teachers are paid very poorly, which is a shame because they are some of the kindest people. Also, the "punishments" the school offers are awful. Some students have been reported of doing bad things to others, yet they stay at the school. Other people have done something wrong but not to the same extent, yet they are asked to leave.
