The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts Reviews

Though there is not a lot of diveristy I believe that this school there are some people that I can say are like me. I think this school is best for people who are trying to pursue their artistic areas a bit more than their academic. Overall this school is accepting of different people from different backgrounds and I believe that they at least try a little to understand the students. There are times where bad things happen but that is expected of a public school in the us today.
I personally have a lot of issues with the school and a lot of the staff. However, for what it's worth before the pandemic I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. There is a large sense of community at this school. Once you find your place, your friends, clubs, etc. It's the best feeling in the world. Going to the performances and listening to students is also so inspiring
It’s honestly such an amazing school. The student body is very diverse, the environment is extremely supportive. The teachers and staff are also amazing, and very understanding. The school is almost like a second home to me and many other students. The only thing I would change is having a bit more diversity in the staff. The majority of teachers and staff at the school are straight, white, and cisgender. It would be helpful for students to have a teacher who they know goes through the same struggles as them. Besides that, I have close to no complaints about the school.
Charter Arts was an awesome four years! The school is so diverse and there is something for everyone.
Overall, my school is the most accepting place where you can express yourself in any way you need. The community is a unified group of people who bring out the best in everyone.
Deciding to go to Charter Arts for High School is truly the best decision I have ever made. At my previous school, I struggled with severe mental illness, didn't have many friends, and my grades were very poor. After attending Charter Arts, I made many amazing friends. The teachers showed me that cared and worked with me throughout the past few years, and I am happy to say I went from failing my classes to having straight A's. Charter Arts has also giving me so many wonderful opportunities and experiences as a vocal major. I have sung at Carnegie Hall, I have performed at many competitions such as Music in the Parks, and Ive worked with many reputable musicians and composers. I am writing this reveiw as a Senior and it feel very bittersweet to be leaving the school in a few months. But I am confident that I will do great things in life, and I am so grateful to the Charter Arts faculty and staff for helping me grow. I wouldn't be here without them.
I really do like charter arts and feel like it is a good environment but I feel like admin could do a better job but if you don't care for public school you'll love it here everyone is very accepting and caring and a much smaller environment so less high school stress there's also fun activities going on year round and it's just a overall good opportunity to make friends.
An amazing high school to pursue your artistic dreams wether it be, instrumental, vocal, dance or theatre. My experience at Charter Arts is one I’ll never forget. Everyone at the school is so welcoming. The teachers are amazing and are always willing to help you. I thought I’d never find a high school that is so amazing and inclusive but, I DID.
This is an arts school yet the academics are superior. The class content goes above and beyond because the teachers are 100% dedicated to teaching their students above and beyond! The teachers really care and want their students to learn and apply what they learn to life experiences. The Arts departments are dedicated to enriching and preparing students for professions within the arts. The student body is diverse and inclusive. This has been a great high school experience for my child.
My overall experience at Charter Arts was great. There were many students coming from different backgrounds and cultures in which were embraced by many. The school atmosphere was inclusive and welcoming, however, improvements could be made in regards to being organized in some areas such as remote learning since the current situation requires it. Other than that, I enjoyed my time here and I hope this school continues to improve for future classes ahead.
My experience at the Charter Arts school was interesting. My academics were pretty average and I feel i lacked some opportunities that may have helped me in college. The teachers were constantly switched out and I feel they did not handle some student drama well.
Outstanding staff and kind, talented students. I completed my last two years of high school at Charter Arts and transferring here was the best decision for me. Great education and opportunities for artists in high school.
The teachers care a ton. The coursework is challenging but doable and engaging. Balancing artistic and academic classes is very interesting and I like how unique the school is. Everyone truly wants to be there and it makes school so much better.
The overall school environment and atmosphere trumps any standard less than desirable high school experiences. The support I personally received from the teachers, staff, and classmates alike was stupendous. The school is also surrounded by many small businesses and a variety of eating venue with many international styles and a surplus of fun experiences connecting the students to the community around them. One thing that could change is the way they punish the student, I don’t believe it’s as extreme as it should be.
I loved my experience attending Charter Arts! I enjoyed that I had the ability to contribute my artistic skills and gain my skill level at the same time. I met my best friends here and I am so happy I met them. As a theatre major I enjoyed the curriculum and my instructors, they were all extremely supportive and inspirational. They taught us great life lessons from respect to how to present yourself in public and around others. Being a student at this school is definitely one of the reasons why I am who I am today. I had many great experiences while attending school here. For example: Directing the Black History month show, understudying in Steel Magnolias, and being a theatre major and a dance minor. I feel that Charter Arts could work on growing a more diverse environment within the faculty and staff because the importance of this is present within the students of color and their families. Having diversity in the student body and the faculty is crucial in education.
I loved how I was able to be myself & be accepted by everyone including administration. I was able to express my love for the things I loved doing such as Singing, Dancing, and just being me.
as a current student soon to be past student there at first it was great. But I was told that my feelings and opinion about something was wrong. Don't get me wrong there are some amazing teachers there that I would do anything for but I just felt so disrespected that I have to leave. I had fun while I was there but it's my time to say good bye to charter arts. Thank you nurse Crystal and the very few staff members that i liked and thank you for believing in me and listening to my opinions.
