Great for the most part! I love my teachers and classes and I really feel like I’ve learned a lot so far. The academics are organized really well and everyone is so willing to help you out so you can succeed. Socially speaking there’re definitely cliques and hierarchies but it doesn’t take long to find your niche. If you’re willing to take the chance, I’d go for it! It’s a great school overall.

My experience at Charter Arts made me the person I am today. I was a vocal music major from 2012-2016. Charter Arts is an art-centric learning experience, where we learn real-world skills, and we perfect our craft. The academics were fantastic, and Charts has some of the highest ACT scores in Pennsylvania. I love this school, and I would go back and do it all over again any day!
I was lucky to be accepted into this welcoming, supportive, and creative environment surrounded by talented staff and students. It is a focused arts high school, and we don't have sports or some of the usual extracurricular activities. Considering the alternative schooling process at this high school, there's a lot that can't be compared to public school. While the dance and figure skating majors are active, I rated sports at a low level because of the fact that we don't have sports. The food offered is if you choose to put in an order to buy food from school, vending machines, or food sales. Sophomores through seniors are allowed outside once a day during free periods where they can get food as well. Charter arts is very diverse, with people of color and members of the lgbt community in almost equal numbers. I love the experience I received here along with my education which isn't a very common thing for high school students to say.
