I have been in public school since I began my education. This year we began in Keystone due to Covid-19. Although there were a few bumps in the road that naturally come with switching schools, the keystone staff have been very helpful. They have 24/7 tech support and a teacher link help line! My favorite thing is that we get to work at our own pace. It gives me much more flexibility in my schedule to work. Due to this flexibility, I was able to work and get enough money to buy my first car in cash!
Keystone has a very advanced education system that’s completely available online, which I like. These courses are very independent, however. Another perk is being able to move as swiftly as you’d like through the classes. I believe you can finish classes in 6 weeks. As a graduate, I do wish they’d offer a little more than a slideshow presentation for graduation. Otherwise, I loved my time at Keystone!
Academically, this school is excellent. The curriculum is very well developed and laid out. I have attended other public and private schools and I believe Keystone had the most developed curriculum of all. With that said, this school is not for everyone. This is only for people with good self-discipline because it is very self-paced and is easy to lose track of. One of the areas I struggled most with was teacher communication. Seeing that it is an online school, I expected teacher communication to be much more efficient but I often got vague and unhelpful responses or no response at all. Despite this, my Keystone experience was positive because although I could not always rely on communication, it was not often necessary due to the detail course material.
