State Championship Debate and Mock Trial Teams

With an award-winning coach, John Steere, at the helm, the Upper School Debate and Mock Trial teams are consistently top in the state. Mr. Steere came to The Independent School in 2000 after 12 years as a practicing lawyer. Our Mock Trial teams have won nine out of the last 11 state championships (13 overall). The Debate teams have won five out of the last six state championships.
