I am a current high school senior at the High School of Fashion Industries and this school has offered me many opportunities and skills. First, as a vocational school, it has furthered my interest in fashion design and I have had many opportunities to work with companies like David's Bridal and Adidas. I have friends of other majors such as Marketing in Business, Visual Merchandising and Art who have had opportunities such as interning in Barney's, working with Adidas and more. I've also had the opportunity to be in a Non-Profit program through networking with students and teachers. Overall my school's community is great!

For an incoming sophomore, The High School Of Fashion Industries has been very supportive throughout my freshman year. They take full responsibility in making sure that everyone has their bright face on and is ready to enjoy what the school has to contribute. From the principle always greeting the students in the morning to the daily mood meter analysis, no student is just a nobody in the school and I appreciate the effort that the teachers put into looking out for our well being. I was once a stranger in HSFI thinking that everyone is superior than me, but I'm so proud to find so many friends just like me and to be known as such an inspirational writer as a freshman is such an unexpected honor. The best part is that there are so many understanding counselors and teachers that you can confide in without worrying about judgement or humiliation. In HSFI we are the pack that stays together through the harsh weather!
The High School of Fashion Industries is the perfect environment for students to discover who they are creatively. It fosters an open space to express yourself through style, art, music, dancing, and acting. The majors: Fashion, Art, Photography, Visual Merchandising, and Visual Enterprise, all their their chances to shine through competitions, shows, unvielings, and much more. The school has ample money to help their students and very experienced teachers. The downfall would be their lack of emphasis on academics. Typically students are not very interested in school and do not try their hardest. They lack a wide variety of AP classes and teachers expect minimum from the students.
