The Gregory School Reviews
Rating 4.37 out of 5 54 reviews
I have been a student at The Gregory School since the fall of 2016. During my time at The Gregory School, I have grown and matured as a person, a student, and a friend. The faculty and staff at The Gregory School care about how each one of their students is doing, and will take time out of their day to help a student with their homework, or even just talk to them about any problems they are experiencing within their life. I am happy that I am able to be a part of this community, and I have enjoyed the past seven years here. I will take the skills and experience I have gained here with me as I move forward in life.
I had a really great experience at TGS! The student-to-teacher ratio allowed me to be close to many of my teachers which really helped me better understand the material and receive support when I struggled with a concept. I was far better prepared for college than many of my new university friends were at their schools, especially in fields like time management and writing.
Personally, I attended The Gregory School for the entirety of middle and high school. TGS provided a college-prep level of education; for my duration there, there were no honors classes as all of our standard classes were already at that level. With a unique block system in which we had our classes twice a week for 1 hour and 15 minutes, as well as the opportunity on Fridays to explore other interests or expand more on classwork, this school allowed for a very well-rounded education. With small class sizes, many of the classes are discussion/participant-oriented. These classes allow us to have a more personalized relationship with the concepts we learned about, the teachers, and with our peers. There is a strong sense of community, a good support system, and many resources to take advantage of. In my opinion, this high school does a more than fair job to allow students to succeed academically when pursuing further education.
