The academics at the school are very rigorous and should be toned down a little bit during freshman year that’s what drives people away from the school. There It’s only a 5% margin of African-American students where it should be at least 15 to 20 but that 5% doesn’t even look like 5%. The teachers are what makes the school the Governors academy the ministration is trash and they only care about their image outside of the governors bubble. Yes the school is very safe but to safe I get that we have to check in and check out but why can’t borders have their own cars we get that we would leave every weekend but that’s our choice. Yeah the music and arts here are pretty good because there’s only art and music kids at the school there’s not one kid that I didn’t tour here that said they wanted to go to the music building first because that’s their priority terrible

Governor’s is a welcoming community that is diverse and welcomes every kind of person. The faculty, teachers, students, and overall community make you feel like the best version of yourself. The teachers want you to succeed in your school work, and so does everyone else in every other aspect of your life. Governor’s is a place where you feel accepted and that you are working towards greatness.
As good as the academics are, administration can tend to make student's lives unbearable. Facilities are old and outdated, especially for the field house and other sports facilities. Dining hall food also needs to be changed.
