The Glen Montessori School Reviews
Rating 3.83 out of 5 6 reviews
I am a parent to two students currently attending both the Birth to Three Program and Children's House. I am overall very pleased with our school experience thus far. The academic curriculum is unlike any other in the North Pittsburgh region. My older child (currently four) can add and subtract, understand basic concepts of geography and science, and is well on her way to reading (currently perfecting her letters and sounds). It is really incredible to see how she has progressed in the two years she has attended the Glen. She loves her teachers and is well on her way to being an independent, thoughtful human.
The staff at the Glen tend to stick around- the director of CH has been on staff for over 20 years. The school itself is a little dated, but they work their best to keep it maintained. If you want your child to grow confidence, have an individualized curriculum based on their own learning pace, and have a global view of the world, I highly suggest the Glen!

I have three children who have all attended The Glen Montessori since birth. My family has loved every step along the way. The teachers at The Glen Montessori are outstanding. All of the head teachers have taught at The Glen Montessori for over ten years. This shows the teachers dedication to Montessori and overall milieu of the school. Plus, the teachers always know my child and exactly what they need next. I've been especially impressed with their response to Covid. They use a data driven approach to keep my family safe. Additionally the virtual online school is significantly better than other schools. They keep my children engaged and learning, even my three year old!
As a former Glen parent, and having had children in birth to three, childrens house, and elementary, I would highly recommend the school. My children graduated from The Glen at sixth grade and they transitioned to middle school easily. Their teachers In middle school consistently commented on how impressed they were with their problem solving and leadership skills. The Glen teachers prepared them well for their new school and the bigger world. They helped to set the foundation my children needed to thrive in school and beyond. Soft skills are often overlooked in traditional education and thankfully they are natural part of the education at The Glen.
