As a graduate, I feel safe posting a completely honest review about the school. I attended Founders from 6th to 12th grade. The middle school is alright. It's about on par with Manchester middle schools. If you're from a town that has better schools than Manchester, steer clear. It's a good option for Manchester middle schoolers who would not feel safe at their assigned middle school.
Sadly, I can't recommend the high school anymore. The math and science departments are severely lacking compared even to Manchester high schools. Most graduates have no shot at prestigious schools unless they took advanced courses outside of the school, like on VLACS. A lot of the students are there because their parents forced them to stay, or they are socially awkward compared to the average high schooler. School spirit is nonexistent. The leadership opportunities are decent though.
Admin is a nightmare, sweeps all issues under the rug. Corruption and nepotism aren't even a secret anymore sadly.

The Founders Academy is an underfunded charter school in Manchester, NH. The academics are mediocre at most and the amount of classes offered here are minimal. They have a shortage of teachers, with multiple teachers teaching multiple classes even though they are not qualified to teach that specific subject. The building is slowly falling apart, with water leakages in ceilings and sinks that don't work. The kids here are out of hand. There was an incident where one student cut other students with a sharp object (making them bleed) and never got into any trouble. Though the situation was reported, that student has been here for years. They never expel students that deserve it so they can get their money. If this school had more funding and teachers, it would be a great school honestly.
My son't first year as a 7th grader has been amazing. He is happy, feels protected; since bullying is taken care of swiftly, and is eager to learn. As a seasoned mother & having enrolled my adult children in both private and public schools this is hands down the best suited for my child. The teachers make time for extra help. Kindness and understanding brings about results. My son truly enjoyed his first year and has settled nicely even with COVID. The teachers gave time beyond measure to all their students. There is a sense of responsibility and compassion. He enjoyed his studies, the teachers made his studies relatable. History class was so informative; Mom even listened in during this COVID year :) . Our family is grateful to be a part of this community.
