Our daughter has thrived since the day she started TES. The deep exploration of project based learning in a non-judgmental, creative STEAM environment has fostered her love of learning. The school administrators and staff have given such careful thought to the diverse group of learners and how the curriculum can be both challenging but also adjustable and engaging for everyone in the class. We have been at other schools and TES is unparalleled in the quality of education and development of the whole child. We love our school!
Expedition is really an amazing school. My youngest started in kindergarten and is now in the upper school, my oldest has one more year until leaving for high school. The teachers are fantastic and they go above and beyond, the administrators work tirelessly to help facilitate a positive learning environment. My kids love the small community, and the focus on STEM with small groups and project based learning. I don’t know how they were able to get us all through covid so gracefully but they completely revamped the system to allow for distanced learning. The parent group is super involved, as volunteer work is part of the requirements. Some drawbacks for many are no cafeteria (you pack or buy a lunch and snack everyday) and no transportation/ bus (you drop off and pickup kids everyday yourself ). Expedition is free to attend, but part of a lottery system. If one of your kids gets in, then your other kids have priority as space opens. We love Expedition!
TES is truly a breath of fresh air. All staff listens and keeps their word. Their nurse deserves some type of special award as well. The parents are supper involved and it’s awesome. The way they make it a priority to be outside in nature as much as possible is incredible. Lots of events to get to know your kids teachers and peers. The hands on approach makes learning so fun and my kids love it! Everyone at yes seems to truly care and are passionate for what they do. They are well organized and have been so patient with my youngest as we work on an IEP that works for him. Coach Cleve names every single kid as they arrive in the morning and it’s truly impressive! My son also comes home with tons of new songs he learned during music and seems to really get into it. My kids will be attending until they can’t anymore haha (:
