From The Colorado Springs School

The Colorado Springs School (CSS) is the only independent school in Colorado Springs offering PreK-12 grade in the Pikes Peak region. Our committed teachers, dynamic curriculum, small classes, and real-world seminars on every grade level teach in experiential ways.

At CSS, you learn actively and collaborate with your peers. Students will be encouraged to think broadly through exploration in and out of the classroom, including a trip for each grade level every year that include regional trips up to international depending on grade level.

Both of our children are having amazing educational experiences at CSS. In their first year, their teachers worked so hard to know them, support them, and identify their learning needs and talents. It was a transformational year for both of my kids. The teachers are exceptional, and help each student learn and develop across all areas. We have been impressed with the arts and languages, the after school options, and the commitment to learning out of the classroom. We are excited for next year!

From the moment that our family stepped into CSS, it was evident that this institution was something truly special. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the dedication of the staff, created an environment that fosters growth, development, and individuality. They understand that education extends beyond academics and have created a well-rounded approach that nurtures every aspect of a student's life. The curriculum strikes a perfect balance between academic standards and the development of character, critical thinking, creativity, and leadership skills. The teachers employ innovative methods that make learning engaging, interactive, and meaningful. They ensure that every student receives the individual attention they need to thrive academically and personally. I wholeheartedly recommend CSS to any parent seeking an education that goes beyond academics and truly prepares their child for a bright future.

CSS has been amazing for our two kids. They were new in 7th and 8th grade and the school and community has been incredibly welcoming. The administration and Head of School made a point to meet our girls and work through individual plans to ensure they both got the support they needed to ease the transition. We've gotten involved at the school and personally worked with kids from 6th-12th grade and it's been refreshing and inspiring to see the school community in action. The kids really look out for each other and on numerous occasions I've witnessed students support their peers, encourage them, and make sure no one feels left out or not an important part of the team. Our girls report the same thing where they say that they are friends with everyone and they haven't seen or experienced cliches or bullying. It's truly a place where kids can be themselves and be accepted and supported. It's the school most us wish we could have attended. We feel so fortunate to have found CSS.
