From The Colorado Springs School

The Colorado Springs School prepares students for a dynamic world by creating an environment where you can cultivate your passions and realize your full potential. We believe every student deserves to meet the world with ingenuity, critical thinking, and personal integrity.

CSS is the only age 3 through grade 12 independent school in Colorado Springs. Our committed teachers, dynamic curriculum, small classes, and real-world seminars reach and teach you in authentic ways.

At CSS, you learn actively, collaborate with your peers, present your work for review in a variety of media, and take time to reflect on your experiences.

Together, we solve real-world problems, not just reading about them in a book. You'll be encouraged to think broadly through exploration in and out of the classroom, including a trip for each grade level every year.

After graduation, you'll be well-rounded and ready to share your wisdom and insights; to make your own impact in a dynamic world.

Experiential Learning at CSS

Active learning is our style. As a student, you'll be out of your seat, engaging with others and enthusiastically participating in learning. Experiences might include going outdoors for a hands-on trigonometry lesson or to the campus pond to collect samples to examine under the microscope. It could also include studying biodiversity in Madagascar. Experiential learning happens every day at CSS.
