Since we’ve been at CSS, our children have become strong young adults with a deeper level of integrity and appreciation for differences in others. All of our children have said that they wish they had attended CSS earlier but we are grateful to have found CSS when we did. Our kids’ test scores have consistently demonstrated a mastery of the course material, however our family cherishes the experiential aspect of the CSS education the most. The experiences in which our children have participated have been life changing. The faculty has consistently demonstrated an interest in not just teaching our children but also getting to know each of them personally. We can’t say enough about the big picture benefits of the type of education CSS provides.

The style of learning at the Colorado Springs School is something my daughter would not be able to get anywhere else. The experiential learning starts at early ages and she is already enjoying it. There have also been multiple examples of teachers identifying her individual needs and interests and tailoring her education specifically toward her, from having her work with students in different grades for some lessons and finding extra time during recess to work with her on extra music sessions. If I could pinpoint anything to improve, it would be the diversity of both the student body and the staff. However, CSS does better than most private schools and some of the public schools in the area. Overall, for a parent, I couldn't be happier.
Our kids are experiencing real life everyday with hands-on projects with real life implications. Picking a career and then seeing how to live off income, buy a house etc. Traveling with classmates local, nationally and internationally. I love that as a day school there is an international component with students from all over the world. But perhaps the best thing is that for a small school my kids know, really know students across grades. I hear that this is a small school and that "my" kids need a bigger class. Not true when your friends are across grades, participating in sports, clubs, multi grade classes, trips, theater etc. My daughter was very ready for college, landed great merit scholarships and is excelling, due to being prepared, in her classes.
