The Colony High School is a great school to go to! This school provides a very diverse, friendly environment and a variety of courses, clubs, and activities to keep students engaged and learning. The teachers and counselors clearly want to see you succeed and always encourage students to become involved in the school. However, one thing that could be changed in the school is the lack of school spirit.

Overall, The Colony High School is a great school. The high school is the heart of the town, and the school is very community involved. TCHS is constantly giving back to their community. The athletics department is very rigorous, the coaches go beyond coaching and provide mentor relationship for the students. The academics is where TCHS loses a star. Majority of the teachers help students in any possible way, however the handful that do not, can really make it difficult for a student. Teachers at The Colony High School are there to teach and while that is the job title, some students need more. Occasionally students need more one-on-one time, more explaining, or even a listening ear. I think academically at TCHS not all teachers push students to achieve the greatest version of themselves. The Colony High School is a wonderful, safe, exhilarating, place to learn and grow as a student or a staff member.
Although my personal experience with The Colony High School was not only enjoyable, but distinctly memorable, I know that is not the case with everyone. I was lucky enough to be enrolled in many of the school’s AP classes, where it is apparent that many of the strongest teachers are assigned. While I enjoyed the privilege of being taught by the school’s best teachers, it was disheartening to see the level of incompetency of the other teachers are they accepted mediocrity and allowed students to stagnate. For anyone considering this school, I do think that the AP courses are the best investment you can make in your time here. Each AP class is enriched with a representative from nearly every racial and economic background, allowing for education beyond the classroom. There is a sacred comradery that blossoms at your time at The Colony High School as the class sizes are relatively small, strengthening the bond within students, teachers, and staff.
