The College Academy at Broward College, established in 2002, as a partnership between Broward County Public Schools and Broward College. Students enroll at CA@BC for their 11th and 12th grade years of high school. The exceptional early college experience allows students to earn their Associate of Arts (AA) Degree while completing high school. The full immersion into college life is a life-changing experience. Students attend classes throughout the Broward College Central or North Campus, they participate in the wide array of clubs, academic games and sporting activities offered by the college, and they interact with professors and advisors who prepare them for the next phase of their education.

Our students develop a sense of belonging that ensures their exceptional success at Broward College and beyond: we are creating influencers and innovators for our future!

Going to the College Academy at Broward College was the best decision I could have made. The faculty and staff genuinely care about your academic development. There are SAT study sessions and office hours to hone in on academics. The students are extremely friendly and welcoming, it is not very cliquey. Principal Haygood is committed to every student's academic success and college application process. Dr. Weinstein provides insightful information to keep everyone up to date with college applications. Mr. Olliviere creates outstanding emails with fly-in and scholarship opportunities. I made my best friends in CA; I got closer to people on the path to success. I even started my own Broward College club: BC Fit. All the resources you could ask for are at your fingertips at College Academy. I am now deciding between various full-ride scholarship offers, and none of it would have been possible without College Academy!

Review The College Academy at Broward College

This is my third week here, and I just love everything about! Everyone is super nice and welcoming in the environment. The professors give you chances to schedule office hours if you need help, and the student mentors are great too. I love how we can rent our study rooms, and having the academic success center which is used to help students. Along with that, we are a program of students that are working towards our high school diploma and associate degree. So far, my experience is great, and I am so excited for the rest of the semester.

At College Academy the staff really is just rooting for the best in you. All the staff want you to become the best you academically, and mentally. It also helps that you graduate with an Associates Degree! When i first got accepted to College Academy i was scared, more than anything. But know i cant even believe i felt that way. I feel i have become a better person in the short time i have been at CA. Another great thing about CA is how many opportunities they find and teach you about. For example at general assemblies they have speakers talk about scholarships, summer trips like the NIHA project, and career growing extracurriculars such as Junior Achievement Career Bound. I jumped on the opportunity if JA career bound and it has been amazing! I have learned so much about how to plan, and go about my future career. JA also is setting me up with a paid summer internship at the moment as well! Overall i find CA to be an amazing school.
