Finney is a school that really wants its students to succeed academically, spiritually, and as a person. The teachers are always willing to work with all types of students and work through any learning disabilities, I would know; I have dyslexia and all of the teachers I have had starting in 8th grade have helped me succeed. The community is wonderful and there is rarely any major conflicts between students. One thing I absolutely love is that all of the grades get along really well together, including middle and high schoolers. And because we wear polos Monday through Friday, except for seniors, it levels the playing field for students that can't afford popular clothes. If I had to improve anything I would add more clubs and relax the rules on dying your hair.

Charles Finney is a small Christian school located in Penfield, New York, with about 50 kids per class. The always friendly atmosphere and tight-knit class groups make it easy to connect with lifelong friends. This small-school feel means that almost anyone can participate in athletics, music, theater, robotics, or any other extracurricular activity.
Incredible family atmosphere. We really felt welcomed and included by the students, parents, faculty, and staff. The size is small enough that everyone has an opportunity to participate in sports, clubs, musicals, etc., and large enough that they actually can offer sports like football (rare for private Christian schools), a very competitive robotics team, and incredible musicals every year. We've graduated one student so far, and she was very well prepared for college by her experience at Finney, especially the AP and dual-credit courses.
