We knew we wanted a environment that fostered more of a individualized education. We found that and so much more at Canterbury School of Florida! Excellent academics, incredible college preparation, teachers who know your child well beyond just their name and grades. The small class sizes allow the teachers to give more individualized attention while having open, ongoing communication with the parents. Class trips focus on self reflection while team building at the same time. The skills learned prepare them for after graduation. And then there is the athletics! The athletic department focuses on character development, a we is greater than me mentality, all while developing the skills needed to play at a state championship level. All of this while having fun! Canterbury has opened up doors for my children in academics and athletics that we could not imagine even existed. Our gratitude to Canterbury School of Florida is beyond measure.

Caring, nurturing, and intellectual teachers and staff ensure each student's success. Everyone knows your child by name at the school. They are all vested in your child, regardless of how long the student has attended Canterbury. Very family-oriented school community! Canterbury has it all - strong academics, sports, character development, clubs, Homecoming, etc. Very challenging curriculum, numerous AP and Honors classes...My child was more than prepared for college, which made the transition seamless.
We are so glad we made the decision to send our oldest child to Canterbury! I knew from the first time I visited the school and the VP of Upper School came out to meet and greet me. My son started in the middle of the school year for his Sophomore year and the administration were quick to try and help him feel welcome. By the first week, he was already feeling comfortable. Since then he has thrived at the school and is involved in so many activities. When I come by the school, every teacher has to let me know that they think he is doing well. If I have any feedback they are very quick to make improvements, if needed. My son would have the exact same opinion of the school. By the time he is a Senior, I know he will have gained the right skills to move to the next step of college. His growth and ability to make decisions for himself have really been second to none. We are looking forward to this next step of schooling and him to attend the college of his choice.
