From The Bryn Mawr School

Located in Baltimore, The Bryn Mawr School is a private all-girls kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school with a coed preschool and infant care. We are known for our inquisitive girls, excellent teaching, strong student-teacher relationships, and spirited sisterhood.

At Bryn Mawr, girls always come first. They lead, question, achieve, succeed, and are passionate about lifelong learning. In the classroom, on the fields and playground, across the stage and in the studio, Bryn Mawr raises the bar for girls and supports them as they achieve more than they ever thought possible.

Ever since my daughter stepped onto the Bryn Mawr campus on her visit, she has felt welcome into the community. We love that Bryn Mawr has devoted and stellar teachers that help guide her, and that the classroom environment doesn't look like it did when we were kids with teachers lecturing to students - but students taking charge of their learning. The friends that she has made have been another added benefit, and the community really does celebrate the love of learning! We weren't sure about an all-girls school environment, but we've seen our daughter's confidence grow each year she has been here. The diversity of the community also adds to the strength of the community. Students are learning about different cultures, and learn to empathize early on.

I have been at The Bryn Mawr School for thirteen years, and I have felt that they have always done a good job at making the school feel more like a community. They have amazing resources for kids to go when they need academic help without having to feel shame. They support everyone no matter what! It is a very accepting school, and I have never heard of any student feeling unwelcome on the campus. We try to have forums on incidents happening all over the US and the world. It is a very open, and accepting community for all.
Our son has been at The Bryn Mawr Little School for a little over two years now. There is so much I could say about the Little School, but the best part the sense of community and the strength of the teachers. From music classes to yoga to daily art projects to walks around the scenic campus/neighborhood, it's just a really magical place for young children!
