Like every school, there is good and bad. Overall, My seven years at Blake have been an amazing experience! With teachers who take time out of their day to help their students to the best of their ability, excellent academics that prepare you for college, and kind people, Blake has been a great opportunity to say the least. The school helped me find my voice and tell my story. It allowed me to develop passions and relationships with people that I wouldn't have been able to do anywhere else. It has pushed me to become my best, and challenges me to think outside the box. Overall Blake has been wonderful for me, the one think I wish there was more of is diversity of the faculty and students. Diversify the student and faculty population would help people feel safer, and give a more rounded education.

Our overall experience at this school has been wonderful! The classes are academically rigorous but reward the students with a greater understanding of the subjects discussed. The class sizes are small which allows for one-on-one time with teachers, and the classes are engaging and push students outside of their comfort zones in order to expand their understandings. The teachers and staff are friendly and helpful. There are also a variety of clubs, extracurricular activities, and sports to participate in. Blake prepares students for success in future academic ventures as well as for their daily lives.
I have had an incredible experience at Blake. The teachers are engaged and truly invested in their students' learning. Whether sports, arts, academics, clubs or a mix of all interests, every student can cultivate their own experience. Students run a large art gallery at the high school, showcasing student and professional work. Blake's debate won many National Championships. With regard to sports, Blake is excellent. Boys and girls teams sports are quite strong, namely soccer, lacrosse, hockey, tennis (among others). For example, boys soccer took 4th in state, girls hockey has won 4 out of the last 5 state championships, both lacrosse teams made it to state last year (girls took 2nd), and the tennis teams swept the tennis state tournament, winning the team title, singles and doubles. Blake also offers a huge selection of courses. I've focused in politics, law and government classes, but I've also been able to challenge myself in the arts, math and science classes.
