The Atonement Catholic Academy Reviews
Rating 3.56 out of 5 86 reviews
This has been our first year at the Atonement catholic Academy. We moved from CA last summer and our main concern was to find a school for our sons with both high academic standards and Christian values. AA has it all. The teachers have exceeded our expectations, the staff is helpful and caring. We have met wonderful families that have welcomed our family as their own. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. There are rules, of course, but the learning environment is incredible. The kids are treated with love and respect. If you care about education and Catholic values I encourage you to visit our school. You won’t be disappointed!
We hoped to find a school with undoubtedly great academics and coherent faith formation. Atonement has vastly exceeded our expectations A For example, our children are being exposed to math subjects (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry) at very early age, perhaps that's why our high schooler processes Math with unbelievable ease. Our fourth grader can analyze a sentence and know confidently if it has proper composition and punctuation. The high school academic curriculum is very profound and very demanding. I know that my children will be broadly prepared for college. The teachers are totally committed to help each student exceed his/her personal potential. But if I have to single out what I value most from our Atonement experience is the faith formation. We have found the school where teachers, staff and parish, are giving their very best to help our kids see themselves as children of a loving God; to see their decisions as an act of correspondence and stewardship. Choir is amazing too!
The Atonement Academy taught me many of the core moral values I hold today. They showed me how to appreciate everything I have given to me and how to stay firm and true to the beliefs I have. It was a challenging school with its classical curiculum, but it made me work hard in order to earn my good grades, and I would not trade the experience for the world. It shaped me into the person I am today and I am eternally grateful for it. It still had a plethora of ups and downs, and at times, I felt very sheltered from the world. It was difficult to branch out, but I managed to do it through the skills my parents and Atonement taught me. Just like every other teenage girl at that school, I complained about the uniforms. Yet despite the uncomfortable uniforms, the classical education is worth the itch. The Atonement Academy is one of the greatest schools and I would highly recommend it to anyone I meet.
