I have been at Athenian since 7th grade and have absolutely loved it. Overall, I have been really pleased with the opportunities the Athenian school has offered me whether that be through the BLEND-Ed program or the many internship opportunities you are offered I was able to better prepare myself for both college and my future career.
Athenian offers students the ability to form a bond with your peers you would never find somewhere else.
Unlike several other reviews I have found Athenian’s Athletics and Club opportunities to be well above average. Having transferred from Los Cerros, I was ecstatic to find the many clubs ranging from the nationally ranked robotics team to the Model UN club. Athenian’s Sports are also very strong when compared to the other private schools in our area and not to mention that any student can take any sport.

My oldest daughter recently graduated from Athenian and she absolutely loved her time there. Athenian allowed her to move from a homogeneous community into Athenian where there are students from all over the world with many different backgrounds and experiences. This allowed the students there to truly get a better understanding of others and get a more wholesome education. Athenian also has the best facilities and faculty I have ever seen at any private school in the area. Considering the fact that the master plan is about to be complete there will be several new classrooms and buildings allowing the students to work with their teachers in a much large, flexible space.
I'm not going to lie, the academic workload at Athenian is quite a lot and it is a very competitive environment, and on top of the academic workload nearly 80% of the students play on one of the schools various sports teams. Event though academics here are rigorous it is due to this rigor that we as students are able to excel in college. My sister graduated from Athenian a few years back and she is currently at Cornell. She continuously reminds me that the tough academics are worth it as she says college is a breeze, when compared to Athenian academics. Athenian also has a vast array of extracurricular opportunities including the "makers space", where students work to build a fully functional plane that they create from scratch then fly by the end of the year. Considering the fact that Athenian just completed its master plan this year an de has added over 20 new classrooms and 3 new buildings the campus continues to grow and accommodate the needs of the students.
