In general, I love the school. Most teachers are really great and they put their heart into teaching. They make helpful powerpoints and handouts that aid us in understanding what's being taught. Some on the other hand could do better. There are plenty of clubs and organizations to join. However, students feel that the administration doesn't always support them or their clubs. As for diversity, I'd like to see more of it throughout all grades. Some sports are more supported than others. Athletics, as a whole, are more highly regarded than the arts although recently, the school has heard suggestions from the students and has been working on making them equal.

My daughters have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities at Agnes Irwin. The best thing I can say is that they have been encouraged to join a variety of clubs and activities by faculty members and their peers. There is nothing better than having a favorite teacher or older student invite you to participate in an activity or club. My daughters have been able to explore arts, photography, costuming for the theater productions, acting, athletics, journalistic endeavors, environmental clubs, community service, and investment clubs. They have also had the opportunity to have leadership roles in several of these organizations. The faculty members are always looking for ways the girls can stretch themselves. The girls have also had many opportunities to represent Agnes Irwin at national conferences.
This school has been a fantastic fit for my daughter. She has grown in so many ways and is a confident, happy student. She is often very challenged academically (and takes rigorous courses) but the atmosphere is not very stressful. A tough balance to find in with high achieving students- Agnes Irwin strikes it perfectly!
