The Academy at Central was a great school that helped prepare me for college. The nursing program also helped me in deciding what I wanted to study once I graduated high school. Additionally, because of the nursing program I was able to graduate as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and use it to work in a nursing home where I have gained experience that has gave me insight into what it would be like to pursue a career in the healthcare field.

Overall this school was great. They were very concerned about our future and prepared us for college. The teachers would do anything they could when it came to college admissions, even the assistant principal would help. The only thing that I would change would be the building. The academy is only one hallway where we share the building with another school.
I loved everything about it. The teachers are very hands on and are willing to help the students. They provide tutoring after school. I also enjoyed being in many of the after school clubs/activities. The students are the ones who come up with school events such as multi-cultural fair, car washes, or any thing else they come up with (and is approved by the principal). The Academy at Central is a very safe environment. The teachers truly care about the students (and not just their academic problems). I am also satisfied with their CNA program.
