Q300 is a gem of a school. The principal is a committed and strong leader who works with parents and takes his time to truly listen to and respond to their concerns. The teachers have high standards for academic achievement, but are also nurturing and help to build positive relationships in which kids learn how to appropriately and respectfully communicate with each other. Reading and mathematics are individualized and core subjects are studied hands on and in depth. The teachers maintain excellent communication with the parents and are responsive to parents' concerns. The school is socioeconomically and racially diverse. Parental involvement in the PTA and classroom events is high. There are numerous enrichment classes for the children including mindfulness, music, art, Spanish, explorations, and computer technology. There is also an after school program and after school chess.

I love this school. The teachers are some of the best you will find, and they put so much care and effort into what they do. The environment is amazing, and the communities that each grade builds are so strong. The time spent at this school is truly enjoyable, and the student-teacher bonds are extremely strong as well.
Niche does not accurately describe my school. This school is a Gifted and Talented citywide school. It has a ratio students to teacher 30:2. It is grade K-8. It's a share space school. Despite that, it is the BEST school ever. It has wonderful teachers that engage with the students and help them. They care about the parents' perspective and respect their views.
