My time at Tharptown High School has been the typical high school experience. I have been very active in school, participating in clubs such as FCA, FBLA, Student Government, Spanish Club, and Robotics. I also have participated in sports such as Basketball, Track, and Cross Country. I have made many friends, some I am sure will last a lifetime. Most of the teachers are very caring and will go above and beyond to help their students. If I could change anything about our school, I wish it offered more electives such as Agriculture and family and Consumer Sciences. We have a Career Tech Center, but it is located at another school and students have to be bused to it. I have a strong interest in Agriculture and would love to have been able to take those classes. All in all, I have enjoyed my time in school and look forward to continuing my education at the collegiate level.

Small.
Pros: tight-knit community, small class size, individual help, people genuinely care
Cons: No resources, curriculum is under par, no money, lazy
I was an athlete at Tharptown High School and I very much enjoyed the atmosphere surrounding athletics. I also enjoyed my teachers and the office staff. I think the only changes that should be made are the food but it’s not up to the lunch ladies it’s up to the Board of Education and standards set by the federal government.
