We have a lot of different opportunities for students who are interested in going into the medical field. We have a lot of diverse classes in the sciences and great health-related electives such as Pharmacy Technician, Patient Care Technician, and Sterile Processing Technician. We are partnered up with Tarrant County College and the University of North Texas Health Science Center. We have plenty of chances to go on rotations and externships to places like pharmacies, nursing homes, and hospitals. If you are interested or would like to go to the medical field then TABS is a great school, however, the courses are very rigorous and time-consuming. Our classes are small most of them no more than 100 kids, this gives the student one on one time with teachers and professors to establish good relationships.

The Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences is a great school with great teachers and small classes. The school is located on a college campus, so the resources are great. All students and teachers are allowed to use all resources from the college, like tutoring, the gym, and free food or prizes from activities. The students are also able to get an associates degree before they graduate from high school and the school also offers certifications in many different areas, like patient care technician and pharmacy technician.
TABS has taught me how to really prepare for college by taking college courses. The teachers are understanding and overall really nie. They understand that the classes we are taking is more difficult than regular high school coursess and helps us as much as they can. Although we don't have sports, there are other ways to have fun such as clubs or other organizations like UIL.
