Tessa International School Reviews
After having an emotionally difficult transition to being in school for the first time, after a few weeks she was happy and wanted to go to school.
While we played at home one day, she was able to tell her stuffed animals, "It's ok to cry. But you have to be brave. Now you need to sniff." (and began to demonstrate taking breaths.) I was blown away! I know for sure she learned this at school because we have never explained things to her this way. I am so impressed that her feelings were validated and acknowledged, encouraged to overcome the challenge, and given a self regulation strategy which she has generalized! Now that she feels safe and comfortable, she is ready to learn and grow. Thank you Tessa!
