Tesoro High School Reviews
Rating 3.99 out of 5 437 reviews
The education level at Tesoro is really good. If you were to take the lowest level classes then those are perfect for those not comfortable with difficult lessons, but if you were to take higher level classes those are exactly the right difficulty to challenge you without overwhelming you. Pretty much of the teachers I’ve had have been really good at teaching. While there are some exceptions with some teachers just giving you papers to do instead of teaching you, I would say that for the most part the teacher are really thorough with their explanations. If I had to change one thing I would change some of the tiles at Tesoro. I find it unfair that you get detention just because you don’t show up to tutorial on time if a supervisor happens to see that. It’s unfair that one doesn’t realize which tutorials are closed until you trek across the school and see at the door, forcing you to walk around until you find an open one. I would definitely change this as this has happen to me before.
My experience with Tesoro highschool is very great. The best part of my experience is that the counselors are very involved with us students, there are college and career counselors specialized to help us, the variety of different classes and electives, and the teachers accommodate to each student to make sure they learn well. The worst part of my experience would be being in the waitlist for classes because there are limited amounts of students per class so it is very hard to get into demanding classes.
I enjoyed clubs as Tesoro, from Fellowship of Christian Athletes to Best Day Club. They have a diverse selection of clubs. The honors and AP teachers that I had were overall good teachers who did a quality job of teaching and prepared us well for AP tests. While there is some prejudice among students including racism, I only had a couple of teachers who were unkind to me or said something about my faith and values that wasn’t necessary. Great music programs, their choir is amazing. A lot of opportunities to make music and even mix music in their commercial music class, or take specific APs like AP music theory.
