Templeton Independent Study High School Reviews

I loved my experience at Templeton Independent Study for all the wrong reasons. I was able to finish a weeks worth of schoolwork in 2-3 days. I have no memory of ever really being challenged. The teachers did little more than check that I had done the correct number of problems. I do feel like my time at Templeton was one of more intellectually stimulating times of my life. Again for the wrong reasons. Once I had school work out of the way, I was able to devote time to reading and researching topics I found interesting. I taught myself more than I had ever learned in school. I am currently majoring in Biochemistry. I am a board member of a club on campus, and part of an undergraduate research program. I attribute none of my current college successes to my time spent at Templeton. They did nothing to encourage me or challenge me.

It made me able to graduate and that was about it. My teacher was a libertarian who spent most of our review sessions for my work spouting his political philosophy. I could skip full lessons without him noticing. There was no college prep.
