My experience at Taylor High School was wonderful. I have made many friends throughout my four years as well as teachers who have been a great help to me. I’ve been given the time and attention I need when I ask for help. I have felt valued and included not only in classrooms, but also in extracurriculars.I enjoy the appreciation for the arts that Taylor High School gives. Many members of the staff and administration attend choir concerts and theatrical performances. The student inclusion is something I’ve always admired. I loved cheering on our football and basketball teams as well as participating in homecoming spirit weeks and bribe day breakfast. One thing I wish I had was more guidance for preparing for college, such as teaching students the timeline of college preparations, as I would have been better prepared and less rushed if we were given this info junior year. I have truly enjoyed my time at Taylor High School and I couldn’t imagine myself attending any other school.
I would love to see change in my school would be tradition, being in a new school a lot of tradition became lost or denied when trying to bring new opportunity for tradition. Lots of students lack any spirit, as well as teachers! but not all, majority, I would love an environment for people who love where they are. I want to see more investment in regarding education and emotional from counselors and staff into their students.
Taylor high school is an amazing school. Our brand new building has some of the newest technology and the classrooms are very nice because of it. We also have the best teacher staff out there. Our smaller school allows our teachers to get to know us more and after having them we see them in the hallways constantly, allowing us to form long lasting relationships that you can't get at many other high schools. While our sports teams are not the best, we do nothing but support them in their efforts.
