I started at Tampa Prep my freshman year and I immediately knew that I had made the right decision. Now that I am a senior I can confidently say that everyone at this school is so accepting and supports what you want to do with your life. The school is also very accommodating to personal interests- they allow you to organize events, start clubs very easily, and even create new classes for you. Tampa Prep also has the best college counseling department you could ask for; supportive, realistic, kind, and always encouraging. I also feel that the classes I took have prepared me well for college. Overall I could not have had a better experience.

I’ve had a really good experience at Tampa Prep. Although some days dragged on, I do feel completely prepared for college - and that’s the most important part!! The teachers actually care about you as a person and take into consideration if there’s any problems. The food obviously is a major downside. There’s no specific cafeteria food. Students order Sushi from Kelp, Pizza from PapaJohns, Sandwiches from Subway or JimmyJohns. As seniors we had the privilege to go off campus for lunch but it was rushed. Many students take AP’s and some don’t at all. I would recommend taking at least 3 simple AP’s. Whether it be languages, AP Lang or history. Tampa Prep encourages students to excel in languages, and it’s clear that colleges appreciate it!! I got accepted into 7/8 out the colleges I applied to - and am truly happy with the results as all of my other friends are as well. Thank you TP!!
My overall experience at Tampa Preparatory School has been both incredible and life-changing. I transferred from a public high school to Tampa Prep before my Junior year. I wanted to attend this college preparatory school in order to be more comfortable and qualified to continue into my journey through college. The teachers, faculty, class sizes, and college counseling office have all had a very positive impact on my life. The guidance I have received through the school has also significantly helped me learn how to balance both academics and athletics. My family and I felt that attending this school would help put me on a path to a successful future, and it has definitely satisfied our expectations.
